Listen: The Unseen Hour Audio Drama

The Unseen Hour is a British horror-comedy audio drama recorded before live audiences. Its original episodes combined radio-play conventions with theatrical performance, comic dialogue, sound effects, and guest contributions.

What makes a live audio drama distinctive?

The audience hears a story being assembled in real time. A sudden change of voice, an improvised pause, or a carefully timed effect can reshape an entire scene. Live performance leaves traces that a studio recording might remove, and those traces become part of the atmosphere.
